Jonathan Newman, Principal, has over 14 years of post qualification
experience and joined Sherringtons in 1987, becoming Partner in
1989. He graduated from Birmingham University with an Honours
degree in Law, is married, has 2 children, lives in Elstree, and enjoys
"sport and running around his children". Jonathan is a leading expert
in the field of Consumer Credit and Non-Status Mortgages and also
offers expert specialist advice in Sports Law having successfully
gained a postgraduate certificate in Sports Law from Kings College,
London

Stephen Simmons has over 25 years of post qualification experience.
He joined Sherringtonsin 1994 and heads the busy Commercial and
Civil Litigation departments. He is married, has 3 children, lives in
Bushey, and enjoys "sport, cinema and travel". Stephen's specialist
subjects are personal injury and employment and his activities include
Insurance related work, Professional Indemnity and Commercial &
Corporate work, all of which he conducts with the assistance of his
team at both High and County Court level.

David Rees joined the firm in June 2001 and specializes in residential
conveyancing but also occasionally undertakes light commercial work.
David is a native of the north east of England but came to London in
1970 shortly after qualification as a solicitor to further his career
prospects. During that period of time David has worked in a number
of firms in the north west of London and is fully familiar with the area.
In particular he was a partner in a firm of solicitors in Edgware from
1971 to 1985.
David is a great proponent of armchair sport but also likes to indulge in
reading, listening to music and playing lawn bowls.

Colin Glass joined the firm in March 2004. He is the head of our Wills
Trust and Probate Department, He has over 15 years post qualification
experience and has worked in both West End and local firms. He
graduated with an Honours degree in Business Law. He has many
years of expertise advising on inheritance tax planning issues, the
formation of family trusts and advising the elderly. He also handles
Court of Protection and Power of Attorney matters. He is married with
three children and lives in Edgware.

David Rubin is a legal clerk and a former solicitor with over 25 years
experience and joined Sherringtons in 1992. He graduated from UCL
with an Honours degree in Law, is married, has 2 children, lives in
London, and enjoys "reading & watching TV". His specialist areas are
non-contentious residential and commercial property work. He
undertakes all property work having gained considerable experience
in all aspects of commercial & private conveyancing.
